	Canned food drive slated Thursday night in downtown Newhall Event to benefit SCV Food Pantry, Help the Children

A canned food drive is scheduled Thursday in conjunction with the free farmer’s market and art walk from 4-8 p.m. in downtown Newhall.

The food drive, held in observance of National Hunger Month in September, will benefit the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry and Help the Children.

Face-painting and an Andy Warhol-inspired canned food pop art coloring activity will be held at the booth where the food will be collected.

Activities are planned every Thursday night at Main Street in Newhall.
