AZUSA, Calif. (AP) — A police officer in suburban Los Angeles County has shot and killed a man trying to burglarize an adult video store.

The shooting occurred Monday about 12:50 a.m. outside the store located in a strip mall in Azusa when the officer confronted the suspect.

Paramedics took the injured man to a local hospital, where he was declared dead. His identity was not released.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will investigate the shooting.
