Troop A Rangers Summer Burrous, Courtenay Stevens and Cadet Commander Kaitlyn Walter donated hundreds of items of clothing to Oakridge Mobile Home Park fire victims recently in Sylmar.

The Rangers presented the clothes to Herrick Avenue School Vice Principal Rosie Elmore during one of the worst winter days in recent memory.

Elmore is the coordinator of many projects to help the displaced victims of the wildfires that ravaged the Sylmar area.

California Rangers Troop A cadets collected the articles of clothing and presented them to the school amid falling snow in the Santa Clarita area, heavy rain in the Sylmar area and grueling traffic conditions on Interstate 5.

California Rangers is a nonprofit organization that uses horseback riding as a tool to teach boys and girls between 9 and 17 years old respect, leadership, responsibility and moral fiber.
