LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE (AP) — Los Angeles County authorities say a car plunged off a mountain road in the Angeles Crest Highway, killing the driver. Sheriff's Lt. Angela Shepherd says authorities got a report at about 6 a.m. Wednesday that a car had plunged some 75 feet off of Angeles Crest Highway — a popular commuter route through the rugged San Gabriel Mountains. Shepherd says the driver, a man in his 40s, was found dead inside the car. Copyright 2012 The Associated Press.
