Sen. Todd Akin’s horrific remarks regarding rape — where do they come from? On top of that, Mike Huckabee attempts to peddle the rationalization that “horrible” rapes created some extraordinary people.

These two guys and their groupies must be from another civilization. How did they get to this planet? My guess is they were dumped here by aliens.

Let’s cut to the 21st century. From the Women’s Conference in February of 2010, hosted by our congressman, Howard “Buck” McKeon, I quote The Signal:

“After describing Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina’s accomplishments as a businesswoman, McKeon ended his introduction by saying she hadn’t done too badly ‘for a girl.’”

“McKeon apologized ... saying the remark was meant to be a joke. ‘If I offended anybody...’”

Congressman, offending, degrading, neglecting women is no joke. You, Sen. Akin and the present leadership of your party make it a continual practice.

This election is not between two men. It is between two parties who have different philosophies regarding their constituents.

One respects women, their choices and needs, and represents 99 percent of the population. The other concentrates on the rest; this is evident in their actions and rhetoric.

Women/girls, the choice is yours if you want to burst through that glass ceiling. You can see who/what’s holding you down.
