SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — San Bernardino police say two people were shot dead at a tire shop and three suspects are under arrest after a good Samaritan followed them.

Lt. Paul Williams says two masked suspects didn't speak before opening fire with handguns at about 10 a.m. on Thursday.

One victim was an employee of JMC tire shop, the other was a customer. The names of the victims have not been released.

The two suspects then fled to a silver compact vehicle that was followed by a good Samaritan who called police.

Williams says police pulled over the vehicle a short time later, within a mile of the crime scene. After finding evidence in the vehicle, they arrested three people.

Williams says the third suspect may have been a getaway driver.
