A motorcyclist ended up in the car pool lanes on Interstate 5 near Highway 14 in a multi-vehcile crash Sunday morning, an officer with the California Highway Patrol confirmed.

About 11:30 a.m., CHP officers received a report of a motorcyclist involved in a traffic collision on the interstate’s northbound lanes just north of Highway 14.

The motorcyclist and his vehicle were both reported down in the car pool lane with a dark-colored SUV stopped near it, the CHP officer said.

“They just got there so we don’t know about injuries,” he said, referring to responding CHP officers.

The CHP report identified the crash as a “multi-vehicle traffic collision.”

Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched, a department spokesman said.
