Guests view silent auction items at the 2011 Heart of the West held at Agua Dulce Airport.

The 16th annual Heart of the West presented by Princess Cruises Community Foundation to benefit the children of Carousel Ranch will be held Saturday at Agua Dulce Airport.

Tickets are still available for the event, which begins at 6 p.m. and includes dinner catered by Salt Creek Grille, live and silent auctions, dancing and a riding demonstration by children served by Carousel Ranch.

Tickets to the fundraiser are $85 for general tickets and $175 for VIP tickets.

“This event is always an important evening for us, raising the funds that literally enable us to continue and grow,” said Denise Tomey, executive director of Carousel Ranch. “Without the amazing support of this community — our work would simply not be possible.”

A few of the items in the live auction include: eight days and seven nights at the luxurious Sunset Royal Resort in Cancun; Staples Center suite located on the first level, center court, for Saturday, Nov. 17, Kings v. Tampa Bay Lightning. Package includes 12 tickets and 5 VIP parking passes; name your own Carousel Ranch building; weekend rental of a 2012 Aston Martin Rapide, 4-door Coupe; seven days in this beautiful four bedroom, three bathroom, 18th century French countryside manor in the Department of Mayenne, France. Sleeps 10; two-week stay in Cebu, Philippines at a private waterfront home that sleeps eight.

The event has been held for the past several years at the Agua Dulce Airport.

“It’s the perfect setting to have a great evening knowing that every dollar spent, makes a real difference, one child at a time,” said Tomey.
