This year’s annual Celebrating YOUth Sports Festival will be held tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex at 20870 Centre Pointe Parkway, Saugus, CA 91350. The free festival is designed to bring the community together to raise awareness about the important role physical activity plays in the lives of young people. There will be tennis, golf, football, hockey, volleyball, baseball, rock climbing, interactive fitness equipment, trampoline jumping, dance, gymnastics, martial arts, fencing, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking, as well demonstrations at the skate park. Some of the region’s biggest names in sports will participate, including the Los Angeles Clippers, the 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Lancaster JetHawks, among others.
