There is a very disconcerting safety problem at the intersection of McBean Parkway and Del Monte Drive regarding the allowance of U-turns.

The signal on McBean Parkway going south allows U-turns heading back to Valencia Boulevard in a very dangerous fashion. SUVs and huge trucks have a difficult time negotiating the turn fully.

The turning ratio of these big cars is not sharp enough to make the U-turn without coming to the sidewalk, stopping and backing up to clear the sidewalk. While in the process of backing up, the next U-turner makes a U-turn. Not realizing what is happening, they almost collide.

This has been happening since the U-turn being allowed. Not having a U-turn at this intersection will make it a much safer intersection.
