The first eight graduates of the College of the Canyons medical lab technician program recently participated in symbolic pinning ceremony, marking the completion of each student’s training and their advancement into this branch of the medical health care industry.

 The College of the Canyons MLT program is one of only seven such programs in the state, and the only program of its kind within the Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara regions.

Students graduating from the program will receive an associate in science degree in MLT and be eligible to sit for the national certification exam needed in order to receive licensing from the California Department of Health Services Laboratory Field Services Branch.
