DFYiT launch delayed until beginning of school year

The city-school-law enforcement partnership for Drug-Free Youth in Town has rescheduled the launch of its new program, according to city officials.

The event was originally scheduled to take place today.

“We are going to launch it at the beginning of the school year,” said Gail Ortiz, city spokeswoman.

Officials plan to roll out events to celebrate the launch starting the first full week of instruction, which starts Aug. 20.
