Two suspects nabbed in a smash-and-grab shoplifting incident at Best Buy are due in Santa Clarita Superior Court today, a sheriff's official said.

Alex Thomas, 40, and Carolyn Rollison, 42, both of Lancaster, were arrested on suspicion of robbery after a traffic stop on Interstate 5 Saturday night, said Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station.

Deputies pulled over Rollison, Thomas and the four juvenile suspects in a gold sedan that matched the description of a car seen leaving the Best Buy on Bouquet Canyon Road Saturday night following an alleged robbery, Cambra said.

Four male suspects, all 16- or 17-years-old, allegedly knocked over a Best Buy employee with a shopping cart as they fled the store without paying for the items in their cart.

The cart tipped over and the items scattered across the floor, she said.

The juvenile suspects allegedly snatched two items off the floor and escaped in a gold sedan, Cambra said.

The four juveniles were transported to Sylmar Juvenile Detention Center and are awaiting a court date, Cambra said.

Thomas is being held in lieu $50,000.

Rollison is being held in lieu of $86,938.

Rollison was also charged with driving with a suspended driver's license.
