College of the Canyons volunteer assistant track coach Lashinda Demus qualified for Wednesday’s final in the 400-meter hurdles on Monday at the 2012 London Olympics.
Demus ran the third fastest time of the eight qualifiers who ran in Monday’s semifinals with a time of 54.08 seconds.
The Inglewood native is a favorite to medal in the event, which will start at 12:45 p.m. local time.
