SAN DIEGO (AP) — Authorities have ruled a San Diego State University fraternity president died from an accidental drug overdose after going to a party at another fraternity.

The San Diego County medical examiner's office said Thursday that 20-year-old Barzeen Barzanji overdosed on the painkiller oxycodone and on alprazolam, which treats anxiety and is marketed under the name Xanax.

Barzanji was president of San Diego State's Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter. He died in April at the Phi Kappa Theta house after going to a party there with a cousin. Someone in the house called 911 after finding him unresponsive in bed.
