Morris and Geri Deason of Saugus celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary with a cruise on the Sapphire Princess to the Mexican Rivera.

The former Geri Forsberg married Morris Deason on Dec. 20, 1947 in Los Angeles at Highland Park.

The couple have two children, Karen Campbell of Newman, Calif. and Kathleen Musselman of Grants Pass, Ore. They have five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Morris Deason is a senior consultant with Environmental Consultants LTD.
