For Matthew Scott Miller, of Castaic, the role of “Chatter” in Nickelodeon channel’s “Fred 3: Camp Fred” was a chance to stretch his acting muscles.

“The ironic thing about Chatter is that he doesn’t talk, at all,” Miller said. “It was a great movie to work on.”

Miller, 13, has been acting since age 7. He attends Castaic Middle School and has lived in the SCV with his family for eight years.

He will appear in the indie feature film, “Little Boy,” which recently shot on location in Mexico.

“We were in the same studio where they shot ‘Titanic,’” Miller said.

Miller said he has long been a fan of the Nickelodeon channel and previously appeared on one his favorite shows, “iCarly.”

Miller said he enjoys acting because he gets to play different characters.

“I can be a nerd, a bully,  just about anything, it’s an amazing thing to do,” he said.

Miller’s other interests include visual art.

“I love to draw superheroes,” he said.

In addition to art, Miller enjoys algebra, taking his dog for a walk, read, swim and play video games.

Miller said he thinks “Camp Fred” is a movie that will appeal to everyone.

“It’s a funny movie, I think it’s a show everyone will laugh with and can relate to,” he said.

“Fred 3: Camp Fred” can be seen on the Nickelodeon channel in the SCV on Saturday at 8 p.m.
