Don’t miss one of the funniest shows ever to grace a stage. The Hollywood Bowl’s production of the Broadway hit “The Producers” will star Richard Kind as Max Bialystock, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Leo Bloom, Roger Bart as Carmen Ghia, Gary Beach as Roger De Bris, Dane Cook as Franz Liebkind, and Rebecca Romijn as Ulla.

Susan Stroman, winner of the Tony Award for both direction and choreography for the original Broadway stage musical of “The Producers,” will direct and choreograph the fully staged production at the Hollywood Bowl.

It’s almost a crime that the show will play only three performances.

It is an annual summer ritual that the iconic Hollywood Bowl has presented a Broadway musical on its stage. Among the many previous productions are “South Pacific,” “Les Misérables” and “Guys and Dolls.”

Tony Award winning Broadway veterans Roger Bart and Gary Beach, who both starred in the original production of “The Producers” as well as the 2005 film adaptation, will recreate their roles of Carmen Ghia and Roger De Bris for the Hollywood Bowl production. Beach won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Roger De Bris.

“I can’t wrap my head around it, that I’m going to be onstage at the Hollywood Bowl,” said Beach.

Beach encouraged audiences to attend the musical.

“The Hollywood Bowl is a summer tradition in Southern California,” said Beach. “It’s a great venue and this should be a fun production. The Hollywood Bowl is One of the largest natural amphitheaters in the world.”

Beach appeared in “The Producers” when it made its Los Angeles debut at the Pantages Theatre in 2003.

“The Producers” is based on Brooks’ Oscar-winning 1968 film. The Broadway hit, which opened in 2001, won a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards.

“The Producers” will have three performances only at the Hollywood Bowl — Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, July 29, at 7:30 p.m. Single tickets are available in person at the Hollywood Bowl box office, or by calling 323-850-2000 and at
