A 35-year-old man allegedly tried to strike another man with a machete in Agua Dulce this afternoon, but neither man was injured and there weren’t any arrests, sheriff’s officials said.
The reported assault occurred about 1:55 p.m. on Windrush Road, according to sheriff’s officials. Both Santa Clarita and Palmdale sheriff’s deputies responded to the report of an assault.
“The call came out as a male, 35, trying to hit the informant with a machete,” said Watch Deputy John Cereoli of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.
However, there were no injuries and no arrests as a result of the call, Cereoli added.
“I think someone overreacted,” Cereoli said.
