A man suffered serious head injuries today when his vehicle rolled over near Quail Lake Road, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

At 11:37 a.m., paramedics were dispatched to a rural area a quarter-mile north of Quail Lake Road for a report a single-vehicle traffic collision.

Responding emergency crews arriving at the crash site from Smokey Bear Road then requested a helicopter be sent to transport the man to a nearby hospital, the spokesman said.

The man’s wife, also in the vehicle, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. The man was reported to have suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
