Whitney Kane, of Newhall, and Bryan Lucas, of Newhall, were joined in marriage on June 9, 2012 at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley.

The bride is the daughter of Tim and Wendy Kane, of Newhall and the granddaughter of John and Delphine Bates, of Stevenson Ranch.

She is a graduate of William S. Hart High School and the University of California, Irvine.

The groom is the son of Art and Lorraine Lucas, of Newhall. He is the grandson of Seraseth Mam and May Lucas.

He is a graduate of William S. Hart High School and The Master’s College. He is employed as an accountant with Capin Crouse.

The double ring ceremony was presided over by Jerry Wragg of Grace Immanuel Bible Church.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Tim Kane. She wore a simple and elegant Watters gown with traditional veil. The bride carried a bouquet of large garden type flowers with peonies, Sahara roses, and ranunculus. Sprigs of coffee bean were used in the usher’s boutonnieres.

McKinley Kane, of Newhall, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Sierra Bates, of Newhall, Erika Scott, of Newhall, Jamie Long, of Valencia, Jessica Long, of Valencia and Jess Mason of Corona.

Robert Lucas, of Newhall, served as Best Man. Ushers were JT Kane, of Newhall, Tanner Kane of Newhall, Parker Price of Ashville, N.C., Graham Kelley, of Newhall and Andrew Maly of Newhall.

Flower girls were Olive Moore and Andee Bates, both of Newhall.

A reception for 350 guests was held at La Compana Ranch in Fillmore.

The couple honeymooned in San Francisco and Laguna Beach.

They will make their home in Sherman Oaks.
