Temperatures will remain moderate for this time of year through Wednesday, then Santa Clarita Valley residents will see a chance of thundershowers starting Wednesday night and continuing through Thursday as temperatures rise.
Highs today are expected to reach 79 degrees in the Santa Clarita Valley followed by lows around 53 degrees.
Highs Wednesday will be 82 with lows of 57 as residents see a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms beginning Wednesday night.
Highs Thursday will be 88 with the possibility of thundershowers continuing.
Temperatures will rise into the 90s beginning Friday, but the thundershower activity will dissipate.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for coastal areas today, warning of a high risk for rip currents.
