A young woman seriously injured in a fatal motorcycle crash Saturday remained in critical but stable condition Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Sera Anderson, 21, of Lancaster, was rushed to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Saturday after the motorcycle she was on crashed on Soledad Canyon Road about a half-mile east of Highway 14.

“Her condition remains unchanged,” hospital spokeswoman Katreena Salgado said Monday.

Joel Robert Renteria, 30, of Lancaster, died in the crash, which the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Department ruled an accident Monday.

Renteria died of blunt force head trauma, a coroner’s spokesman said.
