As a gesture of community and friendship, the Valencia High Dance Team invited the Saugus High Dance Team to perform with them on the field during the pre-game show before the football teams faced off for first place in the Foothill League.

Prior to the performance, the teams joined to create and practice a routine for the game.

Many of the dancers have known each other for years, having danced together at many of the local studios or during junior high school, and share a respect and appreciation of each other.

The spirit of dance is alive and well in the Santa Clarita Valley with each high school having its own competitive dance team.

The local high school teams are very much respected at the regional and national competitions.
Saugus High School's team has won six consecutive USA National first- place awards and the girls will be vying for their seventh this year.
