Letters: Signal's poor coverage

Shame on The Signal for its tepid coverage of Rep. Buck McKeon’s involvement in the Countrywide VIP lobbying scandal. It took his opponent, Dr. Lee C. Rogers, in this fall’s election to delineate the evidence of McKeon’s involvement.

If you were just a reader of this newspaper, you would have known of the Congressional Oversight Committee’s charges and of Rep. McKeon’s denial. That’s it! Where were the follow-up questions and where was the investigative reporting?

The Signal might be considered, in sports language, “a homer.”
