On July 10 around 2:30 p.m. on McBean Parkway and Mall Entrance, I was behind a lady who was driving south and had the green light at the intersection.
A teenager on a bike tried to cross the street against the red light and was struck by her car. I stopped to render help and first aid, along with the lady who hit him.
It was a very busy intersection, and no one else even stopped to say they saw it happen or even to help.
Where is the neighborly help I have come to love here in Santa Clarita? What if this was your son?
There should have been a lot of people stopping to help and or give their names as witnesses, but no one else did.
What a disappointment to me to see how my fellow Santa Clarita residents acted, or should I say the lack of it.
I saw the boy do a 360 over the car, but luckily he was not hurt badly — just cuts and bruises. But they all saw it happen, I guarantee it.
