Maui Wowi coffees hosts grand opening
Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies will be hosting a grand opening celebration today from noon to 3 p.m. with free smoothies and coffee, a prize drawing and live hula dancers. The event will take place at the new location, 28050 Hasley Canyon Road No. 102 in Castaic.

ADPROS Annual Awards Dinner Set
Winners of the 2008 ADDY Awards competition sponsored by the Advertising Professionals of North Los Angeles County will be announced March 16. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, the ADDY Awards are the world's largest creative advertising competition. The contest offers art directors, graphic designers, Web designers, photographers, illustrators and printers an opportunity to compete for recognition among peers all over the United States and Canada. This year's ADDY Awards will be announced at the group's annual ADDY Creative Awards Banquet, scheduled for 6 p.m.at the Odyssey Restaurant in Granada Hills. Limousine service celebrates 30 years
The Limousine Connection is celebrating 30 years in business under the same owner, Chris Hundley, a Valencia resident. The company has its headquarters in North Hollywood with an office in the Valencia Industrial Center. In a statement, Hundley attributed his company's success to its "brick and mortar" offices that have a full-time staff and dispatchers on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Thrivent Financial Reports Strong '07
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans delivered strong results for its membership in 2007. As a result, the organization will increase dividends 25 percent on average over the previous year, with eligible members across the country receiving more then $320 million in dividends in 2008. In California, eligible members will receive $18.4 million in dividends overall.

Thrivent Financial will also deliver more than $60 million in additional value in the form of higher interest rates and lower costs on selected insurance and annuity products. "Thrivent Financial is stronger than ever," Bruce Nicholson, chairman, president and CEO said in a statement.
