Letters: Break the political cycle

How does the saying go? Why do we keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results? The same thing applies to our elected officials. We keep electing the same pitiful ones over and over — think Jerry and Nancy — and expecting different results.

My only take on this is that they, the voters, must be braindead. We are really at a low point politically, and it starts at the very top.

We need a mega dollar high-speed train and the taxes it will incur like we need giant holes in our heads. The people in charge of interstates and freeways need to expand them by about four lanes and maybe build some new routes instead of building more tract-housing everywhere.

OK, I’ve vented enough for today. Help me out with this quest.
