Here's the latest Crime Watch collection of incidents direct from the log at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station:

Man charged in auto theft
Around 7 p.m. on March 3, someone reported that a couple was seen having sex in a car parked on Kelly Johnson Parkway in Valencia. When sheriff's deputies responded to the scene they found a couple arguing in the vehicle. They said they had been "fooling around" in the car but were not having sex. When the man later started acting suspiciously, deputies asked to search the vehicle. They found two laptop computers, one of which was reported stolen. The man, who is 35 and from Saugus, was arrested and charged with grand theft.

Cars vandalized
Sometime in the late evening of March 1 and the early morning hours of March 2, several vehicles were vandalized on Costa Brava in Newhall. One victim's windshield was smashed in, and another vehicle's rear window was shattered, and the hatch pried open. The vandals caused several thousand dollars woth of damage. It appeared that the damage was caused by a long object such as a baseball bat.

One victim said she had heard the sound of tires screeching shortly before she noticed the damage to her car. No witnesses or suspects were located.

House break-in
A resident of Moondust Court in Saugus reported that her home was burglarized sometime between March 1 and March 3. She said that $5,000 in cash was stolen, along with a watch worth $6,000 and a laptop computer worth $2,000. The victim thinks the items may have been stolen when the locks were being changed on the house on March 3. No suspects were located.
