Los Angeles County Firefighters knocked down a small brush fire in Gorman just before 4 p.m., a Fire Department official said.

The L.A. County Fire Department received a call at 3:35 p.m. about a brush fire on the right shoulder of the Interstate 5, just north of Smokey Bear Rd.

The size and cause of the fire were not immediately known, the official said.
