Several vehicles ended up with flat tires on the on-ramp to Interstate 5 near Highway 14 Thursday due to nails, or something metallic, spilled on the roadway, California Highway Patrol officers reported.

Shortly after 5:35 p.m., CHP received reports of multiple vehicles with tire damage due to debris on the roadway, a CHP spokeswoman said.

The damaged vehicles had pulled over to the right shoulder of the interstate’s on-ramp to northbound Highway lanes from Foothill Boulevard, she said. There ware no reports of injuries.
