Here is the liberal’s four-step guide to math:

A) Decide that 2 + 2 = 5 because it feels right.  

B) Deride the ideological rigidity of those who claim that 2 + 2 = 4.

C) Find someone who thinks 2 + 2 = 6.  

D) Claim the “moderate” middle ground at 5 between those “two extremes.”
