The intersection of Lyons Ave. and Railroad Ave. was shut down Tuesday night after a load of wooden beams carried by a semi began shifting, according to sheriff’s officials.

The shutdown of lanes started around 5:49 p.m. after the load began shifting, said Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. Some lanes remained open to keep traffic flowing.

The intersection was still shut down as of 8:10 p.m. while crews worked to straighten the load, Bryski said. He did not have an estimate of when the intersection would reopen.
