Santa Clarita Valley smartphone users concerned about air pollution can now download a new smartphone application that tracks air pollution.

The free State of the Air application from the American Lung Association is available for Apple and Android users at www.lung.org/stateoftheairapp.

Users can enter their ZIP code to get current air quality conditions and the next day's forecast, and the application will send notifications if local air quality reaches levels considered unhealthy for sensitive groups.
