The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory and red flag fire warning today for the Santa Clarita Valley.

High winds and low humidity put the valley at an increased fire risk, according to a weather service news release. The high winds are expected to last through tonight.

Winds ranging from five to 15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph, are expected for the SCV today, the weather service said.

Today's high is expected to reach 84 degrees, with a low of 55 degrees tonight.
