A woman who reportedly tried to avoid hitting a deer was injured when her car flipped and crashed on Placerita Canyon Road early Monday morning.
At about 3 a.m., the woman's car went off Placerita Canyon Road near Golden Oak Ranch, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
"We received a report of a traffic collision with a person trapped," said the spokesman, who declined to give his name.
The car was found on its side, he said.
The driver was extricated, then transferred by ambulance to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol are investigating reports that the crash happened after the motorist tried to avoid hitting a deer.
