Los Angeles County firefighters extinguished a one-acre brush fire Monday morning near the Via Princessa on-ramp to southbound Highway 14 about 30 minutes after it was first reported.
No structures were threatened in the fire, and two units put out the blaze by 10:05 a.m., according to fire officials. The fire burned one tree and some tumbleweeds, according to a sheriff’s official.
The brush fire was first reported at 9:28 a.m., and most of the response had been canceled by 9:52 a.m., according to fire officials.
