Firefighters doused a fire that burned a black jeep on the northbound side of Highway 14 near Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country just after 10 a.m. today.

No one was injured in the fire and there were no reports of the fire spreading into the roadside brush, a Fire Department official said.

"A passerby reported the fire was burning under the vehicle," a Sheriff's Department official said.
