Firefighters extinguished a house fire on a two-story home on the 27000 block of Rio Prado Drive in Saugus just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
There were no reports of injuries in the fire that was initially reported at 1:18 p.m., a Los Angeles County Fire Department official said.
Sheriff's Department arson investigators were at the burned home at 2:30 p.m. investigating the cause of the blaze estimated to have caused about $60,000 in damage, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department official said.
"It doesn't look like arson at this point," the official said. "It might have been an electrical fire."
The house appeared empty and a for-sale sign could be seen outside the home, a witness said.
