A Newhall woman is scheduled to appear in North Valley Superior Court on Wednesday to face felony charges of cruelty to a child, according to county arrest records.
The 21-year-old woman was assigned a cell Tuesday morning at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood where she's being held on $100,000 bond, according to county arrest records released Tuesday. She was arrested Monday night.
Specifically, she was arrested on charges of cruelty to a child likely to produce great bodily harm or death, the arrest records show.
The woman, employed as a nanny, was charged with violating California Penal Code section 273A(A) which makes it illegal to place a child in a dangerous situation or to allow a child to be placed in a dangerous situation without taking steps to protect them, according to the penal code.
