The Young Republicans will host a barbecue fundraiser from 5:30-7:30 p.m. tonight at American Family Funding, 28368 Constellation Road, Suite 398 in Valencia. Admission is $10 and proceeds will benefit the SCV Young Marine Program and postage for care packages being shipped to the 756th CA National Guard Transportation Company currently deployed to Afghanistan.

Guests are invited to donate additional care package goods to be shipped, as well. A list of recommended items is below:
Beef Jerky
Tuna
Peanut Butter
Granola Bars
Powdered drink mix
Batteries of all sizes
Disposable cameras
CDs/DVDs
Hard candy (no chocolate during summer)
Socks
Foot spray/powder
Non aerosol shaving cream
Razor blades
