The five City Council candidates running for two open positions will discuss issues relevant to the local business community during the next Valley Industrial Association luncheon on March 18.

The luncheon is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. and will take place at the Hyatt Valencia, 24500 Town Center Drive in Valencia.

Incumbent City Council member and Mayor Bob Kellar, retired Sheriff's Chief Bob Spierer, educator and Planning Commissioner Diane Trautman, Parks Commissioner Laurie Ender and Newhall County Water Board Director Maria Gutzeit are scheduled to attend.

Each candidate will be given an opportunity to address concerns important to the Santa Clarita business community.
