Luis Armand Garcia, the actor who played Max Lopez in the "George Lopez" situation comedy of the 2000s, has been arrested at a Westridge home for allegedly being drunk in public, a Sheriff's Department official said today.

Garcia, 20, was booked for investigation of disorderly conduct - public intoxication late Tuesday after Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station deputies were called to his home on a complaint of a loud party, a sheriff's officials said in a news release issued early today.

Deputies determined Garcia, who played the dyslexic son on the "George Lopez" TV series, was drunk in public and arrested him without incident just before 7 p.m. Tuesday, the news release said.

The home in the 26000 block of Alder Court in Westridge is Garcia's, the release said.

Besides his role as Max Lopez in the TV series that ran from 2002-2007, Garcia had a role on the series "ER" in 2000.
