Trinity Classical Academy students show off their wins at the Forum Music Festival.

Trinity Classical Academy’s young musicians recently attended the Forum Music Festival held at Fullerton College.

A total of 15 groups performed at the festival, including three of Trinity’s student performance groups ranging from grade 1 through grade 8.

Each of the groups were critiqued on a national scale as all the areas of musicality and musicianship were pinpointed by various judges. Some of the areas in which they were assessed include, diction, tone, pitch, rhythm, expression, balance/blend and interpretation.

Trinity won the gold award and was the only school to win the top award.

Among the winners for Trinity in the individual competitions were the duet of second-graders Katie Brown and Charlotte Potter and sixth-grade soloist Allie Brown.

Another winner was eighth-grader Allie Froemming who showed excellence in playing the chimes.

“This experience casts a vision for our students for growing our music program at Trinity and showing how much fun singing can be,” Trinity music director Jennifer Brown said.
