Saturday, June 30
Santa Clarita Elks Club will host its charity fundraiser car show, poker run and chili cook-off 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 30 at the Elks Lodge, 17766 Sierra Highway, Canyon Country. Crock-Pot chili cook-off entry $10, car show entry $20 (motorcycles are welcome), poker run $15. Trophies, silent auction, live music by Soundwaves, food and more. Rancho Camulos national landmark
The early Californio lifestyle is preserved in its original rural environment at this nonprofit museum. Docent-led public and group tours are offered at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday February through November and by appointment year-round. Special exhibit at Hart Museum
The William S. Hart Museum will host an exhibit featuring objects in the Natural History Museum and Hart Museum relevant to two Academy Award Best Picture nominees, "Hugo" and "The Artist," through June 3. Learn about the costumes, film props, equipment and historical artifacts used in both films. Carousel Ranch calls for volunteers
Carousel Ranch is a nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic riding lessons to children with special needs. Volunteers must be at least 15. Responsibilities will include working in lessons and ranch chores.
