Santa Clarita Valley residents who have been thinking about adopting an adult cat will now be able to receive a discount at Los Angeles County shelters - including Castaic Animal Shelter.

All adult cats nine months old or older will be available for adoption for $9 at county shelters for a limited time. Adoption fees include spaying or neutering, vaccinations and microchipping.

The discount will be available for a limited time only and is sponsored by the group Found Animals. The Castaic shelter is at 31044 N. Charlie Canyon Rd., Castaic.
