For the 19th year, Santa Float of the Castaic Lions Club will be providing an opportunity for children to see and talk to Santa riding atop his sleigh. Starting Sat, Dec. 6 and continuing for 11 nights , Santa will be visiting the neighborhoods of Castaic and Val Verde.
At every stop the float makes, food donations are accepted and then distributed to Castaic and Val Verde families in need. Last year the Castaic Lions collected over 10,000 pounds from the generous residents of Castaic, and the Lions Club expects the community to donate an equal amount this year.
The Santa Float will visit:
Sat., Dec. 6: Hidden Lake and CC Ranch
Sun., Dec. 7: Northlake and Stonegate
Mon., Dec. 8: Violin Canyon apartments, Castaic RV Park, Lake Hills Mobile Home Park and Meadowood and Lake View Homes
Tues., Dec. 9: Encore/Bravo track and Marigolds and Country Village
Wed., Dec. 10: North side of Hillcrest Parkway
Thurs., Dec. 11: South side of Hillcrest Parkway
Fri., Dec. 12: North Bluffs and Hasley Hills East
Sat., Dec. 13: Hasley Hills West and Hasley Canyon Mobile Home Park
Sun., Dec. 14: Live Oak

Fri., Dec. 19: Castaic Sports Complex
Also, at 2 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 7, the Santa Float will travel to the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital to participate in the Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Inclement weather may prevent the Santa Float from visiting neighborhoods. Cancelled nights will be added to the end of the schedule. For those who miss the float, come to the Sports Complex on Fri., Dec. 19th.
The float will arrive at the first stop around 5:30 p.m., and the Music Car announcing Santa's arrival will come 10-15 minutes before the float. View the maps of Santa's stops at
