The Santa Clarita City Council will allow 30 minutes of public comment at the beginning of its meeting Tuesday, with the remainder of the public able to comment at the end of the meeting.
The City Council voted unanimously at its May 8 meeting to allow 10 residents three minutes each to comment on items not on the agenda at the beginning of council meetings, with the remainder of comments to be heard at the end. The City Council moved public comment periods to the end of meetings in 2008.
Residents will still have three minutes to comment on each agenda item during the meeting.
