Providence Health & Services will open a blood donor satellite program in Santa Clarita beginning this Saturday, and will sweeten the deal with a coupon for a pint of Baskin Robbins ice cream for donors.

All blood donations will go to help patients at Providence Medical Centers throughout Southern California.

Residents can go to Providence Holy Cross Health Center, at 26357 McBean Parkway in Valencia, to donate from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month.
