The Second Service Band will perform June 3 as part of First Presbyterian Church of Newhall’s 121st birthday celebration.

The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m. following the church celebration at noon. The events are free and open to the entire community.

“We wanted to give something special to our church members and to the community,” second service worship leader Sam Besse said. “We are offering friendship, fun and music.”

The noon celebrations will include food and games and a birthday cake. The Second Service Band will perform a mixture of classic rock and contemporary Christian music.

The Second Service Band is made up of Alicia Richardson on vocals, Ben Johnston-Urey on keyboard, Leo Vannini on guitar, Troy King on percussion, Chris Clewett on bass and Samuel Besse on guitar and vocals. Sarah Bolin-Tidwell will be the featured singer with the band. The band is featured every Sunday morning at the church’s second service from 10:45 a.m. until noon.

The spring concert will be held in the church’s sanctuary at 24317 Newhall Ave. in Newhall. For details, call the church office at 661-259-0555.
